Hi, I’m Trevor Thwaites

I am an accredited celebrant based in East Hampshire. As an experienced photographer and videographer, I have been involved with weddings for many years. It was a natural step to become a celebrant and perform ceremonies myself. Weddings are such joyful occasions and it’s a huge pleasure to help make them memorable.

I soon became a funeral celebrant too, and have found it to be an incredibly life affirming experience. I meet families at a vulnerable time, and hear so many remarkable stories. It is a rare privilege to connect with people in such a meaningful way, to help them honour and celebrate the life of a loved one.

In my spare time, I am passionate about music, playing in local bands. I also organise and compère music events, especially where I can support new performers in gaining confidence. I spend a lot of time interacting with a diverse range of people, building rapport and trust.

Having also worked in technology, education and the creative arts, my attention to detail and planning skills are well established.

I love walking, travelling, photography, reading, cooking (often with my allotment grown vegetables), and art, if I can find time!

My style has been described as warm and engaging. I am a confident speaker, able to perform ceremonies ranging from formal to the more unconventional, but always with a human touch.

Locations

I regularly conduct ceremonies is Hampshire, East Sussex, Surrey, Wiltshire, and Dorset. However, I love to travel, so I am always happy to venture further afield. If you want to be married on a Tor in Dartmoor, in a Scottish Castle, or even at a mountain village in the Tuscan Alps, give me a call.
